2nd Annual Rack Race & Melon Meander

Today, the DuBar Dolls hosted their Second Annual Rack Race & Melon Meander to raise money for the Breast Cancer 3-Day. Here's one of the trophies. It was a perfect day with beautiful weather and so many people showed up to participate. We made a lot of money from this event and are so excited because we are so much closer to our goal now. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated!

Here I am getting all prepared for the run. My little brother, Chris decided to run with me, and thank goodness he did! It helped having someone push me.

The day of the 5K. Here's the work girls.

We've got our numbers and we're raring to go!

Mom brought the Pink Power...and some delicious cookies for after the race. Go Mom!

"On your mark, get set...GO!"

The front-runners of the race. These guys were fast! Heidi Sue's dad was even in the top six. Go Rob!

And here we were at the start of the race. We definitely started off very energetic, but that quickly changed. It was a hard course!

And the walkers. There were so many walkers with strollers. They did great!

Here they are starting to cross the finish line.

And we came in with an awesome time of 34.39! I, for one, am very proud of myself for running the whole thing. Again, thanks to my brother. He kept me going the whole time.

My friend who used to work with me, Anne, came with her little guy. She was going to walk, but they got there late, so she cheered everyone on instead.

There's her little guy, Ethan.

Rehydrating after the run. It was hot!

Leading lady, Michelle.

We posted pink bras and signs all along the trail to motivate us during the run/walk.

First place for the men. The women's first place winner had already left so she didn't get her trophy today.

After the run/walk, we all piled into Mill Street Tavern for some delicious food and drinks. It was a great day!

Official time- 34 minutes and 39 seconds. Next year, it's going to be even better!
