Rainy Weekend

We had a big exciting weekend all planned out because Lizzi's boyfriend, Adam was coming into town from Colorado. It turned out to be a yucky, rainy weekend, but we still had plenty to do and had a lot of fun. On Friday, they went to Como Zoo (Cory was working and I was sleeping because I worked the night before). Friday night we went to see The Hangover with Lizzi's sister and brother-in-law. It was the most hilarious movie I think I have ever seen. We're going to see it again in the theater. It was that funny. After the movie, we came back to the house and had some drinks and played Catch Phrase. The girls whooped on the boys.

On Saturday, the original plan was to go to the beach and then a drive-in movie. It was raining so instead we went to Grand Slam for some mini golf and batting cages. We didn't get to relax in the sun, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. Cory beat us all at mini golf.

That evening we went to my parents' house to celebrate Cory's and my brother, David's birthdays.

Little brother, Chris and his girlfriend, Amanda

After birthdays, we went home and after a little relaxing, decided to go out to Grumpy's. They have Karaoke on Saturday nights, but nobody else even wanted to listen to the karaoke so instead we played pool and just drank. My first drink I ordered 2-4-1 vodka sodas, but they tasted like crap so I asked the bartender to throw in a splash of pineapple juice, and this is what he brought back to me. He said "I jazzed them up a bit." Nice.

Not sure what was going on here.

Adam playing a very "exciting" game of golf.

And this is the spot where some girl totally just passed out. I don't even think she was drunk. I think there was something wrong with her. And she didn't even remember falling over. It was crazy! She really did fit in that tiny spot.

Okay, so on Sunday we went to Grand Ol' Days. I did not take any pictures there. It was fun, but kind of cold. When we got back, we warmed up with some drinks and played Apples to Apples.

Daisy wanted to get in the game.

I love the look on her face here.

My boy, Danny!

And here's Danny getting molested by Dan.

Ready to head back to Grand Ave...

with the two drunk boys.

I ran into my friend Laura from high school. It was crazy! I haven't seen her in forever.

We had so much fun, but when we got back home, we weren't quite ready to call it a night.

Mmmm, pasta salad.
